FAQ

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

At Christ Church, you will find that we have a broad spectrum of style! From dresses and suits to jeans and shorts, everyone is different and accepted. Come in whatever makes you comfortable.

Am I expected to bring money?

At Christ church we believe in giving back to God in light of all that He has given to us.  As a guest, you are under no obligation to give.

IS THERE SOMETHING FOR MY CHILDREN TO DO?

At 9AM, we offer Sunday School for all children from birth through High School. They will be well taken care of and hear God’s Word through music, stories, and crafts. During our 10:30 services, childcare is available for children from birth through age 5. The children’s classes and nursery are located upstairs in the Children’s Dept.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC WILL I HEAR?

In our traditional service, held in the Sanctuary, the congregation sings hymns and the choir shares an uplifting and inspiring song.

In the Contemporary service, our music is led by a worship team which includes guitars, keyboard, drums, and vocalists.  The music is a mixture of modern choruses and today’s latest Christian music.

CAN I ATTEND SUNDAY SCHOOL, TOO?

Absolutely! Here at Christ Church we are excited to be able to offer over eight Adult Sunday School classes every Sunday morning! We have something for everyone. From Men’s classes to Women’s classes,to video discussion groups, and everything in between, you are sure to find something that suits your Sunday School needs! The Young Adult Women (ages 18-35) meet Wednesdays at 5:30pm. See the calendar for dates they meet.

Traditional Worship

Held at 8AM and 10:30AM in our Sanctuary, these services offer the traditional United Methodist experience. These somewhat formal worship services include congregational involvement through singing hymns, responsive readings and prayers. Our choir also plays a prominent role in the Traditional Service at 10:30, sharing an anthem with us on most Sundays. And of course, our Pastor shares a sermon that is based on God’s Holy Word. If you enjoy the traditional liturgy of a United Methodist worship service, then this is the service for you!

Contemporary Worship

Our Contemporary Worship takes place at 10:30AM in the Social Hall. This service takes place in a more casual environment with our Praise Band leading us in singing the latest Contemporary Christian music. Our Pastor shares the same sermon that he does in the traditional services, just in a much more informal setting. If you prefer to worship with modern praise songs in a laid back service, then join us in Contemporary Worship!
